TECTYL® 435D Surface Preparation

The maximum performance of TECTYL 435D can be achieved only when the metal surfaces to be protected are clean, dry, and free of rust, oil, and mill scale.

It is recommended that the metal substrate temperature be 50 - 95°F (10 - 35°C) at the time of product application.

TECTYL® 435D Application

TECTYL 435D should be applied to clean, dry metal surfaces in the hot (molten) state by hot airless spray or dip. (See application temperatures under Lab Data.)

TECTYL 435D can be applied at warm, ambient temperatures by brush or swab.

TECTYL® 435D Removal

TECTYL 435D can be removed by TECTYL HPS, vapor degreasing, or high-pressure steam cleaning.

TECTYL® 435D Caution

Adequate ventilation is required for cure and to ensure against formation of a combustible liquid.

THE PARTIALLY CURED FILM SHOULD NOT BE EXPOSED TO IGNITION SOURCES SUCH AS FLARES, FLAMES, SPARKS, EXCESSIVE HEAT, OR TORCHES.
