RECTORSEAL® NO. 5 Sub Zero DESCRIPTION:
These thread sealants are a variation of basic RectorSeal®No. 5® formulation modified for specific applications where low odor, non-staining, and soft set features are desired. RectorSeal® No. 5® Sub-Zero is especially formulated for low temperature applications and is brushable to -35 degrees F. They are non-toxic in accordance with NSF Standard 14 and/or other applicable NSF Standards.
They are listed under the Uniform Plumbing Code (IAPMO) File No. 1282. In addition, they are approved and listed with the Canadian Standards Association (CSA).

Soft set
Won't dry out in the can
Non-hardening and odorless
Smooth easy application
Non-staining all weather formula
Lubricates and protects threads
Breaks out easily without damaging threads
Lead free and contains no other metals
For use with water systems (hot or cold)
Reduces friction to allow tighter joint makeup

RECTORSEAL® NO. 5 Sub Zero APPLICATIONS:
RectorSeal® No. 5® Sub-Zero is recommended for pipe made of galvanized
steel, iron, brass, copper, aluminum, stainless steel, polyethylene, reinforced fiberglass, and PVC. DO NOT USE ON ABS OR CPVC.

INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Stir before using. Wipe threads clean.
2. For pipe diameters up to 1 1/4", apply to male threads only. For larger sizes, apply to both male and female threads.
3. Join and tighten pipe to ANSI Standards.
4. Wipe excess sealant from joints. For natural gas and water lines up to 2" diameter and up to 100 psi, piping
systems may be placed into immediate service. For other service and applications conditions.
